Trust But Verify

For most of you we collect your payroll taxes with each payday and then take responsibility for remitting these taxes and filing the forms. We keep a separate account at the Bank of Colorado where we hold these funds prior to making the tax payments. We had the accounting firm of FrederickZinkElliott CPAs conduct an "Agreed Upon Procedures" of this account. The report, shows that the tax money we collect equals the amount of money we have available to pay tax liabilities as of a certain day (May 16, 2007 in this example). Our plan is to expand this review of our financial operations to perform a SAS 70 Level I audit next year. Along these lines, we want you to be very comfortable regarding the payment of your federal payroll taxes which represents about 85%- 90% of your payroll tax liability. We can help you set up a user identification number and pin so you can independently verify the payment of your federal payroll taxes at any time. We take our data very seriously. We have just completed adding a third method of backing up our data that will allow us to be up and running within two hours, even if we cannot get into our building.
